Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are reportedly getting ready to climb into the boxing ring again, for round two. The pair of boxers are apparently in the process of finalizing the terms of the deal that will see them have a rematch, after their 2015 fight. Reports have indicated that the fight is scheduled to happen in early December.

Mayweather Pacquiao rematch announced

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have announced they will be fighting again, following their match in 2015. The fight is expected to take place in early December and Mayweather is currently the favorite.

Mayweather Looking for 51-0

Over the weekend, the two boxers officially announced that they would be fighting again. It is believed that the fight will take place on either the 1st or 8th of December. As for the venue, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is the most likely host.

Since the last time they fought, Mayweather has gotten back in the ring twice. In 2015 he beat Andre Berto, and then was victorious in 2017 when he took on Connor McGregor. Mayweather, who is now 41 years old, has a perfect 50-0 record. As for Pacquiao, 39, he has fought four times since their last fight. He was won three and lost one.

Mayweather Favorite for Rematch

While Mayweather has not boxed since his highly anticipated McGregor fight in August 2017, he is still the favorite with sportsbooks. Currently, most sportsbooks have him as -220, which gives him a 68.75% chance of winning. If you bet $100 on Mayweather, you’ll win $45.45 if he is victorious. As for Pacquiao, his odds are +180. This equates to a 35.7% chance of winning and $180 profit on a $100 bet if he wins.

When these two first fought each other, there was plenty of hype surrounding the event. It became the highest grossing fight of all time, with 4.4 million pay per view sales. While there was plenty of excitement, the end result was disappointing for many fans. Some were critical of the defensive style used by Mayweather, with Pacquiao having difficulty landing punches. It was also revealed after his defeat that he had allegedly been struggling with a shoulder injury.
