Las Vegas readies for Mayweather Mcgregor fight

Mayweather Still Favorite, McGregor Underdog

While the fight might still be quite far away, it is generating a lot of enthusiasm from Las Vegas. This time of year, is normally a bad time for sports betting, as the NFL season hasn’t started yet. However, the fight between Mayweather and McGregor is generating a lot of interest and wagers from the public.

Despite all the trash talk from McGregor, he is still definitely the underdog in the upcoming fight. Mayweather is the favorite with odds at -750, while McGregor is on +525. As it stands right now, a $100 bet on Mayweather will land just $13.33 in winnings should he be victorious. By contrast, if the underdog wins, a $100 will net $525 in winnings.

The fight will be available to watch on Showtime for $99.95, with as many as 4 million people expected to pay to watch it. However, boxing experts are still warning that the fight may not be all that good. McGregor is from UFC and has never boxed professionally, so fans should manage their expectations.
