Bagel Boss, Chris Morgan, will now fight actor Dustin Diamond at Showboat hotel in Atlantic City on Saturday. Morgan was meant to fight former MLB star Lenny Dykstra but Dykstra dropped out of the event to focus on some legal matters. There were fears that the fight would not be able to continue but Diamond agreed to replace Dykstra close to the final hour.
To those unfamiliar with Diamond, he is probably best known for playing Screech in 90s teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. Diamond’s filmography since then has been rather limited, mostly appearing as a fictional version of himself in a number of different films and TV series.
This is not the first time Diamond has been involved in a celebrity fight. He previously fought actor Ron Palillo in a boxing match in 2002, where he walked away with a victory. Despite having previously been active in the boxing ring before, Diamond has not been training for the event. So, the Bagel Boss (who has been training with UFC fighter Chris Weidman) may actually stand a better chance of winning in the eyes of sportsbooks.
No Betting on Bagel Boss Fight at Atlantic City Sportsbooks
Those who wish to wager on the Bagel Boss fight will need to do so online. No sportsbook in Atlantic City will be offering odds on the celebrity boxing match. This is due to the lack of interest in betting on the event, with many believing that this may due to the fact that celebrity fights are often staged.
Unfortunately, even if there were lines available on the event, the actual venue, the Showboat would not be able to offer any. This is due to a deed restriction placed on the property by former owner Caesars Entertainment. Despite the lack of available betting lines at brick-and-mortar sportsbooks, the stage is set for the big fight.
